Community Care

The Community Outreach Ministry works hard to ensure that the needy of our surrounding communities are fed, clothed, and cared for. Members of Oak Ridge are involved in a couple of different organizations and projects in the local(ish) area:

Grassroots

Volunteers from Oak Ridge Community Church have partnered with both the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center and the surrounding communities to offer a variety of services and activities to those in transition:

Birthday Celebrations

On the first Tuesday of each month, the Care Ministry celebrates the birthdays of all residents who will turn a year older that month.

Dinners

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, the Care Ministry prepares and serves dinner for the homeless at Grassroots. Volunteers are always needed to plan, prepare, and/or serve a meal.

VOLUNTEERS like YOU! Have you ever felt yourself wanting more out of life and wanting to make a difference in the lives of those around you, but just aren’t sure how to go about doing it? That’s where we come in! All we need is you! We are very grateful for the time you sacrifice to serve “the least of these” in Baltimore!
