Our CHILDREN’S MINISTRY is committed to presenting God’s word to the children of our congregation while being godly examples to those we teach. Our mission is to support parents as they train up their children in the knowledge and respect of God. We seek to provide a clean, safe environment for children. To help ensure the safety of the children, all of our adult staff undergo a professional background check.
For parents of small children, we provide parents with responsible childcare so they can worship in the main service free of distraction. We have an infant nursery for infants up to 12 months of age, an intermediate nursery for children from 1 year to 2 ½ years, and an advanced nursery for 2 ½ and 3 year olds. All of the nurseries are available during the entire Sunday morning service. Each child will be checked in when brought to a nursery, and the parent will be given a numbered pager. The pager must be returned to pick up the child.
Promiseland (where children learn that God always keeps His word) is the name of our CHILDREN’S CHURCH and SUNDAY SCHOOL program for children from age 4 to 5th grade. We seek to teach the Bible creatively, to have fun, to be safe, to be child oriented, and to work with parents.
Children’s Church is held each Sunday during the first part of the service. In Children’s Church, children will primarily be singing, learning Bible verses, and listening to stories.
Our Sunday School program runs during the second half of the service from about 11:15-noon each week. Each Sunday, most of the Sunday School classes will be centered on the same Bible passage. Crafts, games, songs, object lessons, dramatization and workbook pages are examples of methods used to help reinforce the weekly lesson.
